Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a little bit of time on his hands these days. Sure, it’s the beginning of NASCAR’s offseason, but the former No. 88 Chevrolet driver also retired a couple weeks ago after the Cup Series season finale in November.

Thanks to social media, it looks like Junior is enjoying his first couple weeks as a retired driver. Tuesday, he spent part of his day hanging out at Ohio State’s football facilities, and judging by the photos, he had a blast.

Earnhardt – who retired after two decades in NASCAR – was also with his Hendrick Motorsports replacement, Alex Bowman. Like it did with Junior behind the wheel, Nationwide will continue to sponsor the 88 car.

Continuing his trip to Ohio, Earnhardt is also set to drop the puck at the Blue Jackets-Devils game Tuesday night.
